For the folks who were interested in knowing, I figured out what that song was (per the previous post of mine). It was "We're Here to Save the Day," by Constellations featuring Asher Roth.
He does sound so much like Eminem! And aren't they sampling Eminem's "Save the Day?"
You can hear the song on their myspace page: http://www.myspace.com/constellationsatl

[10 Dec 2009|02:15pm] |
Hey y'all
Heads up! Next Saturday and Sunday, from 9am to 2pm each day, I will be having a garage sale. I'm an uber nerd, artist and vintage clothing collector, so you'll find lots of goodies if you're into that.
Things you'll find: tons of comic books, trade paperbacks, books, action figures (Spiderman, X-Men, LOTR), cds and records, art supplies, crafting supplies, some furniture (2 vintage side tables at least and a 1 dining table from the 60s), dvds of all sorts (some still in shrink wrap), posters, lots of vintage dresses and clothing for women, as well as some clothing for men, wrestling toys / movies / shirts, toys, chaos and mayhem! You can view a sample of the wares at http://imcoloring.com/random/yardsale/index.html
I'll have cookies and lemonade for shoppers and pizza at some point (first come first serve o' course)!
Address: 730 Putnam Ave Orlando Fl 32804
Hope to see you there!
X-Posted to UCF!

| I need a nice dress/evening gown |
[08 Dec 2009|09:03pm] |
Dear Orlando,
My boyfriend just spent and exorbitant amount of money on a suit for himself, and I fear I have nothing to wear that will match it. I've never been one for dressing up at all, I despise makeup, and I am not a model figure - I can never find anything pretty that fits me, nor do I really care that much. So nothing in my wardrobe will do.
Suffice to say, I'd like to get a nice dress that will go with his suit. So, most likely it will be expensive and pretty. Where can I start? Department stores won't have anything for me because I'm not a 5/7/9 (or a double-zero). I'm basically looking for a prom dress here, basically, just a little more elegant.

I heard a rap song on the radio today, and I'm trying to figure out who it is and what song it is.
It talks about "being a slave to your wages," is critical of consumerism, and one of the lyrics distinctly says something about the "american revolution," though they're not talking about the actual, historical american revolutinon... they're obviously using the term metaphorically.
Throughout most of the song it sounds like a black male voice... but near the end the voice that takes over sounds almost like Eminem... I would say definitely a white male voice, and if not Eminem then very similar.
Does anybody have ANY idea what this might be??? It's killing me!!!

I'm an artist who needs some prints made for a show. Does anyone know of a place that does reasonably-priced prints of digital artwork (i.e. Photoshop files)?

| Tea |
[02 Dec 2009|02:31pm] |
Somewhere on 434 in the Altamonte Springs area (near where 434 crosses Wekiva Springs Rd) there's a tea shop. I haven't been in there yet, but I do need to visit a tea shop soon and I'd prefer not to go all the way down to Baldwin Park to go to Trish's. Does anyone happen to know the name or address of the place I'm thinking of? I saw it not long ago when I was driving but didn't have time to stop.
Any other tea shop suggestions are welcome, though the closer to home (Apopka) the better.
Thanks!
